The Vacuum Spine Board (VSB) offers quick, comfortable full-body immobilisation for suspected spine, pelvic or hip fractures and multi-trauma patients. A purpose-designed pelvic strap system clicks on over the pelvic area and adjusts in seconds. A valve adapter is supplied for portable suction units. The board is MRI compatible and X-ray translucent, folds compact for storage, and ships in a carrying case. All straps and lifting handles are colour-coded — easy to remove, clean or replace. The standard ½″ (1.27 cm) US/EU 2-piece valve operates with heavy gloves on. A multi-chamber design with 18 differently sized chambers keeps the beads in place even in vertical applications. Earlier VSB models were thicker and heavier; Bo Renberg re-engineered the platform once EMS, helicopter and SAR crews asked for a slimmer, lighter board with more durable construction — and that's what ships today.
